The Exams Office has launched a new training initiative for the 2021/2022 academic year – ‘Round Table’ training events.

These events will be delivered at our Leamington Spa office and provide exams officers with an opportunity to acquire training as part of a smaller group where it may be easier to ask questions of our trainers and acquire answers to specific centre-based scenarios whilst networking with other delegates.

The questions and answers below provide further information.

What are the ‘Round Table’ events?

These are training sessions which repeat our new exams officer Actions for Autumn/Spring into Summer and Exam Changes training events.

‘Round table’ training sessions are held at our Leamington Spa office.

Capacity is limited to 7 people.

Why have ‘Round Table’ training events been introduced?

We have introduced this training to give us another option to our larger training events held at hotels across the country, where delegates can ask questions of our presenters more easily and soecific areas can be analysed in more detail. This ‘smaller group’ setting may also be a more a preferrable learning and problem solving environment for some delegates.

These events will also allow to deliver bespoke training events as demanded by a small number of exams officers.

When are the Round Table training events held?

See the table opposite for dates of our new exams officer and Exam Changes training events. However, training can be arranged for other dates to suit delegates and at short notice, if our trainers’ diaries allow. Please email contact@theexamsoffice.com or Jugjit@theexamsoffice.com to request further information.

Is it just the ‘national’ training events which are available as ‘Round Table’ training?

No, if you would like a training event to be held on a specific area please email contact@theexamsoffice.com or Jugjit@theexamsoffice.com . For example, if you have several members of staff from one centre (including SLT/Line Manager) who would like to attend a training event, we could arrange the following content:

  • Changes for the current academic year
  • Key tasks in the proceeding months
  • Roles/responsibilities of each staff member
  • Work as a team to manage, administer and conduct examinations within your centre.

What is the cost of this training? Are we able to book more than one member of staff onto this training or even book all 7 places for our staff?

Costs are detailed in the table opposite.

Yes, you can book as many places as required.

A session can be delivered solely for staff from one centre. The cost for this can be reduced further to £95 (+vat) per person if the session is hosted at your centre and not at our office – but we would require a minimum booking of 7 people to stage a session within your centre.
